Your role and position in the organization
As the Group IT Manager, you will play an important role in the further development and sustainable growth of Axell Group.
You will report to the Board (CEO & CFO) of Axell Group and will be a member of the Axell Group Leadership Team.
Job summary
As Group IT Manager, your key responsibility is that the business goals of the Axell Group are effectively supported by technology solutions. You will lead a team of IT professionals in the Netherlands and Poland, define and implement the IT vision, manage our software systems and applications, and be responsible for IT infrastructure, security, and compliance.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Leadership and strategy
Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with our company objectives
Lead and mentor the IT team across different regions, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence and innovation
Set the precedent for excellence through leading by example
Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on technology trends and opportunities
As a member of the leadership team, support the Board with all Axell Group strategies
IT operations management
Oversee the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of all IT systems and IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks
Ensure high levels of system availability and reliability
Review and analyse team performance against plans and objectives
Drive continuous improvement within all IT areas
Hire, train, manage and coach employees within the IT department
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize technology investments
Budgeting and cost management
Prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality
Track IT expenses and ensure alignment with financial objectives
Cybersecurity and compliance
Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements
Monitor and mitigate potential cybersecurity threats
Digital transformation
Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance business processes and operational efficiency
Identify opportunities for system upgrades, process automation and AI
Your profile
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Proven experience (5+ years) in IT management in an international environment. Experience in the logistics / supply chain sector is preferred
Proven ability to manage and influence medium & senior level stakeholders, both internal and external, and maintain positive working relationships

International / national travel approx. 20% (primarily in PL / NL)
Salary: €80.000-€100.000 gross per year
Vacation: 27.5 days per year
